Beatriz Actis was born in Sunchales (province of Santa Fe) in 1961 and currently lives in Rosario. She is the author, among others, of children's books "Para alegrar al cartero”, “Historias de fantasmas, bichos y aventureros” (stories, Featured by ALIJA), “Alrededor de las fogatas” (novel), “La oveja imaginaria” (poetry), “Criaturas de los mundos perdidos” (recreations of oral tradition) and children's versions of Jules Verne's novels. She has also published adult literature (among others, the novels "Los años fugitivos" and "Los poetas nocturnos"(National Fund for the Arts Prize) and Education books (among others, "Lecturas, familias y escuela" and " Las aulas de literatura"(Isay Klasse Prize of Foundation The Book). She is a professor in Letters, graduated from the National University of the Litoral.
